About the Avril Elizabeth Home

Founded in 1970 by social worker Sheila Suttner, the Avril Elizabeth Home provides care and support for intellectually disabled individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Situated on five hectares in Fisher’s Hill, Germiston, the home offers residential facilities, cottages, and a stimulation centre aimed at helping residents realise their full potential.
